Tragic Fashion: Would You Use?
are these pieces of fashion just merely decorative and have no functional use at all?
maybe unless you are Gaga?

Maybe for Halloween, and even that is uncertain.

Fashion displayed on the runway like this is not meant to be worn in every day life.
It's supposed to experiment and create new trends that will later be reinterpreted and worn in everyday life.

I always thought that these fashion runway looks were just to show off the types of fabrics and patterns that would become popular in later seasons.

I honestly think whatever that thing is in the first pic is really cool. Obviously something more subdued ie, different pattern/colors not over a dress shirt and tie

You mean avant-garde? Yeah there purpose is mainly for editorials. Only gags or bjork would use them as red carpet outfits.
