Sam Smith voice is a bit tolerable, so he wins by default.

Ed is one of the best songwriters I've heard, so I think he is a better all-around artist.

Sam definitely has a better voice though.

I love them both (Ed a bit more) Sam's voice so is velvety and he has more vocal ability, but Ed's voice is more versatile, like he can hit his falsettos effortlessly and he has a grit in his voice at times, plus he can rap.

Ed Sheeran is the better overall artist. And the general public agrees, just see the album sales

Sam has the better voice. I prefer Ed's music, though.

I prefer Ed's voice, although if we'll really talk about which is "better" then it's Sam's because of how unique it is.
Both of their albums are my top favorites this year.
