I just enjoy the music, I do want acclaim & success but I only really care how the music makes me feel. "Starships" is a bop and "Anaconda" is a bop, neither are songs meant to be taken serious.

It also did her a great deal of good, but (as Robby pointed out) Nicki arguably could have done it regardless. I definitely think it only really helped her secure the American Idol deal.

It isn't her worst song and arguably isn't her worst single either, but it did far more damage than Anaconda could ever do especially now that she has rebuilt her image.

Before "Starships" came out there was talk of her doing X Factor which is basically the same thing. So that argument is up for debate.

It *could* debut that high considering there have been past songs that have debuted that high with similar sales and I'm sure they had similar airplay/streaming too. Let me look around.

It did but it put her on the map and she was new. Starships achieved that on a WW level was what I meant.
