she's gotten MUCH better thru the years but rihanna is still very very inconsistent on stage. sometimes she sounds good and is really engaged with the crowd, sometimes she's a warbling sheep stumbling about skipping her lines and rocking side to side aimlessly.
i think she's at her best when she's motionless and singing in one spot like when she sings what now, diamonds, stay, etc.

i think she can handle one or two songs at a time but yeah, i agree in concert she can't maintain her energy throughout the entire set. she can carry a ballad more better than her dancepop songs on stage.

The only example I've seen of that is the Capital FM gig where she had that horrid blonde wig thing on.
I love most of her performances but I found the Hackney one to be quite mediocre really (apart from the ballads, LTWYL was particularly fine) and it was televised on the BBC too so I expected her to put a little more effort in but when I spoke to people the next day they thought it was great and every time she does a concert here the reviews on Facebook are always glowing

GGGB AND LOUD were all energetic and she managed just fine.
Also Hackney Weekend, T in The Park she was very energetic and her vocals +choreo were good.
DWT was supposed to be dark and she just didn't execute it well.
Hence the weird 'dancing'
