Yeah, in my experience when people are focused on the physical side too much (especially when you're not ready for that yourself) it really ****s up the whole dynamic.
As some RTers know, I'm a neurotic ball of dopamine-induced love, so I actually focus wayyy more on interpersonal and emotional connection than the physical aspect, though I also give some pretty hefty significance to what kind of partner I'm attracted to. Balance is important (even though I'll always be more about the deep and introspective conversations and the cuddles than sexual intimacy teebeeH)!
