Wow, first week in a while where I don't HAVE to listen to any of the songs to remember them or know them.
Silver Lining - Honestly, while I love Rilo Kiley...or, really, Jenny Lewis, the truth of the matter is that I don't like this song THAT much. I like it, don't get me wrong, and it accentuates how beautiful Jenny's vocals are, but I think they have more deserving songs in their library than one of their most recently singles.
Do You Want To? - Well, when I woke up, I said IIIIIII've gotta make somebody love me. And now I know, now I know, now I know, I know that it's you. YOU'RE LUCKY, LUCKY, YOU'RE SO LUCK-EH! Commence "do do dos". I have a soft spot for this song that cannot be denied. The vocals are definitely a high point, but I love the tongue-in-cheek lyrics. They may be a bit dumb, but you can't deny that they're catchy.
B.Y.O.B. - My favorite song of the week. Yes, *favorite*. **** off.

Very few songs can match the intensity of "B.Y.O.B.", and, hell, very few System songs can match its power. The bridge area of the song still gives me chills. Besides, the upside of voting for System near the top of your lists is that it means that "Aerials" is coming, and, really, what's wrong with that?
Everybody's Fool - For a long, long, loooong time, this was my least favorite Evanescence single. Sometimes, I still find faults with the song. However, I think time and perspective have moved this song back into my good graces. I always underrate the power of Amy Lee's vocals in this song, when the reality is that she carries this song to something more than average and middling.
'Til I Get Over You - This song should have been the song that just propelled Michelle further to superstardom, but, instead, it moved her further away from the spotlight, and, eventually, pushed her to the country scene. I can't say that I'm a huge fan of Meech anymore, but this song is still gorgeous, a little taste of what might have been.
The Leaving Song...PART II! - Here's another case of a song being, probably, my least favorite single of the band in the past, but this one has made a GIGANTIC turnaround, as opposed to Evanescence's moderate turnaround. I now consider this to be in the upper echelon of AFI songs, and I have to listen to this song every now and again, just to remind myself of how awesome AFI can be(and usually is).
