Opening for August Alsina.....I guess because of the Def Jam connection. Could be a good look because his fans really supported his album, surprisingly. Hopefully the video is FIRE choreography through and through and not just beauty shots all over the place.
A masquerade ball sounds interesting enough. More so than just her in some hole in the wall club, at least.
I would prefer that
I hate the theme of the video, I just hate it, it doesn't fit the song at all, I always imagined Teyana looking super sexy in the club (I know it's nothing new), maybe a little bit of story, hot man, very Aaliyahish, very 90's, I miss that kind of videos, I thought Tey will bring them back somehow
It seems that the video will be a mobster mafia story line judging from a bunch of leaked photos.
Anyways...
Teyana Taylor finally gets her D Day (Drop Date)!
After years of label struggles, shelving, and what not, the R&B songstress announces October 21, 2014 for the release of her long-delayed debut album. “Don’t Sleep. #VII #Oct.21 #ItsTime,” wrote Taylor on Twitter.
We caught up Teyana recently and she gave us some update on the project, which is led by the single “Maybe,” featuring Pusha T & Yo Gotti, which she shot a video for last week.
Check out our quick chat with Teyana:
The present: I just joined August Alsina's tour, we go on tour August 14th, my album comes out October 21 ... I'm excited about that. My sitcom on BET with Diggy Simmons is coming out ... we just working.
Finally: October 21st is firm; even if it's not the 21st, it's definitely in October. It's not moving no further than that.
Kanye West: We just sent the album over to him ... you know for him to add his little things. He's super excited about the album; the whole building is excited about the album.
Features: Yo Gotti, Pusha T, August [Alsina] of course, I would love to work with Miguel, Big Sean ... we are trying to narrow it down.
Relationship and Gossip: All you can do is make sure you have that foundation and you build that foundation for when your relationship does come public. I was in Hawaii mining my business and then that happened, so it's whatever. We show you what we choose to show you. People try to base you life off of pictures or whatever, but I'm happy, my man is happy ... can't nobody break us a part. Our foundation is very very strong.
Heard this on the radio this weekend. Looking forward to video and album!
I heard a car blasting it the other day. I really hope Radio takes to this and make this a little Urban hit. Seems like Def Jam is about to Rush single #2, but I think with the right promo "Maybe" can be a hit.
