The line distributions in GG and EXO11 are bad enough, it would be a mess.

Red Velvet as a 4 member group is fine, Wendy and Seulgi are more than good enough to carry the group and Joy and Irene have their own personalities to bring as well.

It kind of makes RV irrelevant if they start debuting other sub-units of the same group afterwards. They should have just debuted the whole 12 member group, then announced the Red/Blue/Yellow stuff after, if this is their plan.

If it's true and SM are debuting them individually, then chances are the subunits will be focussed on their respective countries, and the main group would be used more conservatively than the units. Ergo line distribution would only be an issue for the 4 girls in each group.

It's too overcomplicated and Blue/Yellow Velvet are weird group names. It looks like SM just wants to save money and marketing costs by keeping them in the same "brand".

And Japan is not going to support Red Velvet after that messy MV. The J-Netz made it quite clear.

Also why would they put Seulgi in Red Velvet if her specialty is supposed to be Japanese? I don't think this rumor is true.

I didn't say they wouldn't do stuff as a single group, but I could imagine they might all promote the same song with different versions in each country, so it wouldn't be as a single group. Maybe they'd come together for special events or whatever as a group, like daejuns and particular comebacks.

Japan wouldn't need to support Red Velvet if their ~designated subunit~ was Blue Velvet.

Maybe they actually have 4 Japanese girls for Blue Velvet, who knows.

And Irene, her boring radio debut is being heavily criticized. Maybe she was nervous, I don't know, but she was weird and so awkward, she didn't even respond to the questions asked to her.
