A few people love to recycle the "she's just a glorified dancer well managed/any other blonde girl could take her place." insult.
Do you agree with this pressed and false statement?
I personally believe Britney's talent is greatly underrated and shunned and if it were true, anybody would be famous, like me, per say. That said, why did the other blonde girls who were modeled after Britney fail to match Britney's undeniable success/impact? Where are they now?
Of course she does. If "any other blonde girl could take her place", then why Britney and not them at the turn of the millennium?
People love to underrate her because of their own personal problems with her. Doesn't take away the fact that she has solidified herself in pop culture as one of the greats.
I totally think she deserves it. She changed pop music, whether people see it or not. One example being Toxic's video. It had an impact on other artists' videos. People know her as the bitch who lip syncs and had a breakdown. They always focus on her downfall and never for the reason she's in the business, to sing and enjoy what she does. To say she doesn't deserve the success she's had is a load of ****.
Of course she does. She literally came from nothing (unlike some of these popstars today who had mommy and daddy's money) and sacrificed her childhood to become something. She's earned her place and all the impact and no matter how hard people on this site try to berate her, at the end of the day she's still successful and still doing well for herself to this day.
Yes she actually worked hard back then and had amazing performances that's why she was so successful.
Also she was pretty talented back in the day, it's sad that her label didnt let her grow as a singer tho.

Especially considering that the only reason a lot of these girls are successful today is because they were marketed as anti-Britney's. So even then, she still had an influence on their career.
i agree
If you pay closer attention to her best performances, there is nothing extraordinary about her dancing. I've seen countless of SYTYCD contestants display far superior abilities and stage presence. Her voice has always been weak, and there was nothing extraordinary about her personality either.
Of course. She was the best pop star of all time during her peak. She literally checked off every attribute a pop star should have except for powerhouse vocals, and that isn't really a necessity for pop music.

By your logic then any other church singer with a better vocal range than Christina should also be a star then, huh?
