It's really silly because instead of congratulating and moving on, they are making such a fuss and at the same time making it worse for themselves. It's not as if Britney has not yet received hers and they are bitter, so I don't know what the problem is unless it has something to dow with them simply not liking Beyonce getting this honour as well.

We should (as a group) be a little gentler though and maybe they won't keep trying it so hard.

I get that, but Whitney improved the vocals of Dolly's version. Can you honestly imagine another popstar improving on the vocals that Beyonce has laid down on a song like Listen? I'm sure many of the pop girls could perform her songs perfectly adequately in their own ways. I'm just saying that why would you get someone else with a lesser ability to do something that Beyonce could effortlessly do herself? It's not like Beyonce is 75 and retired and getting a tribute. If anyone were to do it other than Beyonce, they'd better do something entirely new to it or it likely won't work.

Do we need to pull up examples of other popstars doing Beyonce/DC songs, or American Idol contestants, etc.?

MJ and Madonna are different because we saw them perform live all the time before and after.

I'm not shading the girl. She obviously doesn't like to perform much any more. If she wanted to perform a medley, they would have let her. She was clearly uncomfortable at the BBMAs and doesn't like to do TV performances any more. Its not shade, I promise.

**** tributes. Beyonce needs to perform her own songs. Beyonce is very CAPABLE of performing them so I don't see the problem here. Also she ain't going by anyone's rules but her own a la release of BEYONCE.
