There's no point in introducing new characters in your final season, because it'll just take time away from building up the story lines of other characters and ending the show properly. The only fanbase Glee has left are the people who basically grew up watching it and even that's few and far between. They should be focusing on completing the original characters' storylines, not introducing new people nobody gives two ***** about.
