Great, now this movie can really break box office records. Putting two superhero movies head to head is bad for both. This has nothing to do with DC being scared of Marvel, Batman is bigger than all of their superheros combined. This is about money, nothing else.

They saw Guardians of The Galaxy - Marvel's brand new superheroes movie slain the box office and they know BvS will be slain like that

Batman rakes in money, anyone thinking that CAP3 will outgross BvS, just simply isn't thinking lol.

TDK and TDKR had Christopher Nolan

Batman is batman. He has the biggest fanbase of any superhero and there is no denying that. The Batman movies from the 90's were one of the only massively successful superhero movies of their time, and they didn't have Nolan. Also this movie is being super buzzed about, while MOS just kinda happened. If this was a superman ONLY sequel, then i would agree that Cap3 would be the winner, but it's not.

+ the Nolan argument doesn't make much sense considering he also worked on MOS, which didn't do well at all.

Man of Steel was one of the most hyped movies of last year though. It didn't do bad at all, it just didn't hold up to its great opening and didn't do phenomenal overseas business.
