I believe the Deep Web threads tend to get closed because there is a ton of illegal activity on there and ATRL is not supposed to be promoting stuff like that. I've always found it intriguing, especially those fictional Reddit stories about it, but I think at worst it can be a place for sick people to meet to enjoy overtly violent/sexual stuff (including pedophilia).
