Sis, stop. Realistically, Rihanna can't buy this team. That's like saying Rihanna can buy the Lakers. She will never be the owner of a Futbol league. She can try, but these are huge organization that pop stars aren't just allowed to throw down some money to buy. There is processes, shareholders, directors, etc.

I don't think it's sexism at all. (Jennifer Lopez owned part of an American football team and I don’t recall any fuss) I just think people are saying if you are still flying commercial after how ever many years and records sold, and someone had to tell you whether or not your tour was making money, then buying a sports team may not be best (or even in the realm of possibility). I'm not sure how it works in the UK, but maybe she can buy a small part of the team like celebrities with way more money do in the States. Magic Johnson, for example, paid $2 billion for the Dodgers and even that much money only got him a tiny piece of the team.

Bottom line, successful sports teams are EXTREMELY expensive and risky investments, even for celebrities who actually have disposable income and business savvy.

That team is on debt since ages, and everything they tried to get off that debt seems to put even more dept in the club. In the article it said she spoke to her friend Didier Drogba (player of Chelsea) to buy a Club

And Second of all even if Rihanna is worth $230M where could she find the rest of the money, cause for the club, the stadium, the staff, the players and all... She has to pay $ 901M (estimations from April 2013).

And Third, Do you really think that Roman Abramovich will sell Chelsea, the Club he spent 3 Billion on, just like that.

Y'all do realize that sport club owners don't buy teams to become rich; they buy teams because they have too much money and they simply want to waste it on something to enjoy.

She's not buying a whole team; but she can invest a small portion on a team just like Nelly invested in a small portion of the Washington Wizards.
