It's better than being a bitch who fat shames, especially if you consider fat anything more than 90-140 pounds (DillonATRL)

You've been here for 2 years. Some people don't think critically it seems.
You can have diabetes and still be skinny along with do many other health problems. Your waist line don't mean crap if you have hypertension.

Exactly. You can have diabetes and heart disease but it could be worse. You could be FAT!

My grandmother is a cigarrette smoker. She knows the risks. I have tried to get her to stop. At the end of the day, she still smokes, but she's living fine and happy.
The point I made with that statement above is that it doesn't matter if you help, its all up to that person. You can't CHANGE somebody who doesn't want to be changed. If they know the risks and are happy with themselves, what can you do at that point? You can't do much anymore, so at that point, you just have to let them be and stop trying to force your ideals down upon them.
Also, some of y'all don't know the difference between being "fat" and "obese", as I've stated before. Obese is a major health concern, and in no shape or form am I saying it should just be "casually overlooked", but y'all in this thread acting like having a few extra pounds is SO detrimental and just morally disgusting, regardless if they can still function well in today's society. How is him/her being a little overweight affecting you or your life personally? It's not. Y'all so quick to shame other people for who they are, but the moment somebody shame you for being gay or having promiscuous unprotected sex with multiple partners (which is what this site loves to glorify for some reason) y'all get up in arms.
If I had an obese family member or friend, best believe I would assist them and try to help, but I don't. I do have a few "fat" family members and friends, who still function damn well and enjoy their lives to the fullest with no concerns or worry.
Oh, and people keep saying people are fat by choice. Not all the time.
If the person comes to you for help, then by all means help. if you start to see a problem develop with them because of their weight, then talk to them about it. However, it's pathetic how you shame somebody based on their weight. They reason they're aren't getting the help you "claim" they need is because you all would rather call them out and make them feel bad for being their size, even if its just a little extra weight. The nerve and audacity of y'all, for real.

If you're comfortable in your skin, then yes. I can't at some of you shaming fat people. You never know what is certain person going through and what led him/her to being overweight.

Then where are all the posts and threads complaining about that? Where is the 'Is it ok to be thin but also in poor physical condition' thread? Cause I never see those.

Some people in this thread are the reason that people like me have bulimia tendency. I'm slightly overweight and no it isn't related to bad diet or not working out. It is because of the medication I had to take in my childhood due to health conditions, they made me gain a lot of weight - I used to be skinny.
It's not all about working out and eating healthy. Yes, most cases are because of those but there are people like me who have a few extra pounds (due to genetics, diseases etc.) and still get bullied about it.

No tbh. Unless you have a medical condition, it isn't hard to get on a treadmill and pull the sandwich out of your mouth. Most fat people choose to be fat, when they could very easily choose to be healthy.

No! you shouldn't encourage people to accept themselves if they are obese, because that puts them in danger of so many health problems. i'm not saying everyone should be stick thin, but i went from 237 lbs to 167, and i'm not stick thin, but i'm skinny and obviously healthy now. plus, it boosts your self esteem.
i don't understand this whole "self-acceptance" thing of allowing yourself to be fat.
