Ya'll the whole point is that it is being put in american theaters which is a huge deal for DBZ since its been basically forgotten by the GP. And especially since the last dbz movie to be in a US theater was that live action mess

goku betta slay... the movie did pretty good almost 50M in Box office .. the movie is really good. i love it.. hope the GP in the us love it too!
I think its great that they're going to release it to theatres even for a limited run, cause really it won't be that big of a turn out especially since as people mentioned its already on Netflix and DVD/Blu-Ray (btw I own the limited edition Blu-Ray and it slays a bit).
Anime movies in North America aren't huge anymore, I only remember the first 3 Pokemon movies, Digimon and maybe Yu-Gi-Oh! being here.
