I recently broke up with my boyfriend, it's inspired me to write a lot.
I wrote this the other day:
Quote:
It’ll Always Be You
“I love you, You love me too”
that mutual attraction
gave me such satisfaction
The days go by, the distance grows
Don’t worry, it’ll be fine (just fine)
Give it some time (just some time)
I’ll be back in your arms, and you’ll be in mine
And if I said I loved you
As you held me close
Could you see that in my eyes (in my eyes)
It’ll always be you?
And all that you could ever be
Would always be enough for me
Locked in a love affair, no way out
You, me, a shitload of concrete
Every brick, every sign, every bulb
Nothing but another distraction
to be between you and I
All the best places / the best ideas
The utmost worst timing
Every kiss now felt like a sting
Every word now like a punch
You say it’s unfair - you can’t be your best
and I just sit with a blank stare
I put up a fight, tried real hard
Deserve a pay for just how much I tried
And if I said I loved you
As you held me close
Could you see that in my eyes (in my eyes)
It’ll always be you?
And all that you could ever be
Would always be enough for me
Your face fades away
Detail by detail, less and less clear
Those honey brown eyes, your pretty boy hair
You say that you’re always here
I know you will be, at least to me

It kind of breaks the rules of like verse/verse/chorus/verse/verse or whatever but I just got out everything I wanted to say I guess
