Literally what else is new. I just posted a video last week of a NYPD officer killing a man in broad daylight with his bare hands. The only difference between NYPD and the Police forces of Nazi Germany is New York doesn't have a leader like Hitler.

Not all members of the NYPD (my cousin is a cop in NYC and he does his job amazingly well, being fair and just), but there are some vile people on the force. Then again, you only really hear of the negative cop affairs as opposed to the positive cop affairs that happen.

True but some on the force do not do their job well they act like thugs in uniform.
Kudos to those who do their job well but there needs to be some changes.

It's a power trip. I never delved into the topic much, but I would imagine anyone giving that much power would need to go through some kind of psychiatric evaluation often enough because you want to make sure the person who is wielding a gun is sane and capable.

Thats not even the real issue. Their behaviors are result of their training and the laws that protect them. They are trained to be hostile. They are trained to use 7 officers to arrest ONE person. Thats why when you see them kicking the crap out of someone for loitering there is no repercussions because they are not using excessive force. They are doing what they've been trained to do.

That's a bit skewed to think they are trained to that extent. If that were the case, you would be seeing this from all law enforcement officers. There is obviously something deeper than the training regimen, and it's that people are using their title as an advantage to do what they please.

I can see both as legitimate issues.
There are too many cops on the force doing the wrong thing for training not to have a hand in this. But I do believe that some cops/trainees need psychiatric evaluation and having power like that can go to your head.
