But hits are one of the best forms of promo. If you have a hit you have millions of people saying they like your song, and if that doesn't translate into big sales that's an issue with how much the buying public trusts your artistry. Live performances are going to automatically sell your album if the buying public isn't really interested in the song.

Actually no.

Loud did better than 4, which had both their era's in 2011.
Una did better than Beyonce.

GGGB and IASF both did 7 million.

Beyonce wins because her debut was released back when album sales were strong. But that's the only reason why Bey is in the lead overall.

Comparing recent albums, Rihanna is in the lead.
