170-180C tops, probably less depending on the setting/type of the oven. and as I said that is just the surrounding temperature, it doesn't get that hot inside the actual cake, that's why it only burns outside not inside if it's in for too long

But the phone has a battery, which stores heat. Plus, the dough gets hot faster than you think, and aluminum is a great heat conductor. The lithium wouldn't hold on for long.
We're not talking about baking here, it's pure chemistry. If we see phones burning just because of someone charging it under their pillows, or because it got too hot on a pocket or something, what would happen if THIS were to happen?
The phone was literally shoved inside the cake after it was almost baked.
