I, on the other hand think no one in real life uses Tumblr and it's mostly irrelevant.

No one I know really talks about Tumblr in real life. It probably is more popular with the kids these days though.
Tumblr isn't the same kind of social media as Facebook at all. Facebook is for connecting and keeping up with people you know outside of Facebook. Tumblr is more like social blogging.
