Not really, my "board shorts" go mid thigh and basically nobody can see anything because, well, they're made for stuff like that.

They have that net thingy as well for a little bit of support I suppose. For this reason, I never really understood people who wear underwear underneath.

There is one thing though, if you're not wearing underwear and you're exiting the water, just make sure to shake out your shorts so they don't cling to the skin, that's it.
