I'm having a hard time so let me know your opinions...
- I know that Stop and Stare is a major hit cracking every Top 20/25 it can (UK #4, US #12)... so that's one.
- I know that Say (All I Need) didn't crack any top 40... (UK #51, US #100)
- I have no idea what happened to Mercy...
This is the problem...
The song that introduces the band, Apologize is NOT a OneRepublic song... It's a Timbaland song as claimed...
The problem about this is some media say "Timbaland feat. OneRepublic" and the others, "Timbaland pres.(mean presents/presenting) OneRepublic".
So telling myself, is getting featured make it a wonder or it have to be a main artist?
EDIT: Sorry for a mistake. Apologize was wrote by OneRepublic but it's Timbo's remix that charted.
I call "Apologize" a One Republic song, because first of all, that song was their's. Before Timbaland even mixed it, and second, hadn't Timbaland released it, then One Republic would be no hit wonders right now.
^Yeah, the song is their's, but it's not that version that chart isn't it?
If you are featured in a song. For example: T.I. feat. Rihanna - Live Your Life, that hit goes on your catalogue as well, even if you are the featured artist.

You still don't understand.
Timbaland did a remix of "Apologize" and he included it on his album called: "Timbaland presents Shock Value", and that's the song that charted everywhere.

That's a poor example. "LYL" is obviously not a Rihanna song, she only sings the chorus. "Apologize" could be considered an OR song because Timbaland doesn't even moan on it. The only reason people think it's a Timbo song is because it was released as a single off Shock Value.

It is credited to him if you're talking about the remix that became famous. And he does sing in it. Listen to they beginning of the song. don't you hear they "hey"s? Sound exactly like the ones from "Say It Right".
Anyone with common sense could tell you they are not one hit wonders as they have had two hits. Who cares how it's labeled? Ultimately, it's OneRepublic's song. Who care's if Timbaland produced it? Do you discredit an artist of their hit because someone else produced it?
