It seems Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Simon Cowell's friendship is back on rocky ground after they clashed throughout auditions for the ITV1 show on Saturday.
Cheryl kicked off the banter between her and Simon by introducing the music mogul to the stage as 'Mrs. Cowell', but their back-and-forth antics soon turned sour.
According to the Daily Star, Simon was intent on annoying the Fight For This Love singer throughout proceedings, prodding her, blowing on her and questioning her comments, prompting her to lose her temper.
She shouted: 'I am gonna give him a slap. Shut your cakehole... I swear there is going to be hell if you do that one more time.'
She then addressed the crowd, adding: 'He doesn't stop whispering in my ear when I talk.'
Despite the playful threat, the 31-year-old was left visibly fuming when Simon asked a wannabe boy band whether they were hiding secret girlfriends.
The quip prompted Cheryl, who was left heartbroken after her ex-husband Ashley Cole cheated on her during their four-year marriage, to lash out, urging the hopefuls not to go behind their partners' backs.
A source told The Sun: 'Simon was asking if they were hiding secret girlfriends.
'Cheryl just leapt in and said that if they were they mustn't cheat on their lovers. She left them in no doubt she was deadly serious.
'It raised a few eyebrows, because everyone knows what Ashley Cole put her through.'
I swear if the ratings do go up for this season Cheryl will rightfully feel like she cando and say whatever she wants lol I loveher manipulate Simon girl and bully him!
