Kylie Minogue ‘recorded Crazy Stupid Love before it was even offered to Cheryl Cole’



Crazy Stupid Love had been recoded for Kylie’s last album, Kiss Me Once, but it failed to make it on her final track list as her management wanted her to have a more RnB feel, according to The Sun.

Aussie pop princess is said to be less than happy after seeing Chez’s top success with Crazy Stupid Love.

‘Kylie recorded the track with songwriter Wayne Wilkins and loved it. But Roc Nation felt it was too pop. They wanted her tracks to have a cool R&B edge,’ a source told the newspaper.

‘Months later Cheryl was in the studio with Wayne working on other album tracks and he played it to her.

‘She knew she had to have it but decided to re-write a lot of the verses to make it her own, and that’s why she has a writing credit. It was also her idea to get Tinie Tempah to rap on it,’ the source continued, adding that Ky is ‘not exactly happy’.

Let's say this is true...
Kylie isn't the type to get mad. When Britney went on to record Toxic and make it a universal hit, Kylie wasn't upset. She was happy for Britney.
I wouldn't mind hearing Kylie's version of CSL (or Toxic, really) since there have been a lot of changes made, but CSL is still a bad song.

I doubt kylie is mad and that song only smashed cuz it was cheryl, it's a horrible song.

I don't think Kylie would actually care. She has had her fair share of UK #1s (the same number of #1s as Michael Jackson and Elton John)

If Kylie released the song it would have flopped because she just doesn't have the power to make a bad song smash anymore. I love both but semi wish both passed on it and someone like Pixie Lott got it, that way it nobody would really ever have to hear it
