Her era is good, she got 2 #1 singles and her album is selling well. She set the bar too high with TD's singles and only 2 people have been able to do that...I don't expect anyone to do it again in a while.

I'm pretty sure those 2 smash singles plus Prism have outsold all of your faves' current efforts, so Katy seems to be winning still... unlike other pop girls.

Dark Horse was a bigger hit than any other Katy single ever.

Her team is more focused on album sales and tour .

Prism is still selling , her tour will be one of the biggest tours ever ( top 10 ) , she has 2 massive hits over 5 M in slaes , Uncle sold over 1 M and B day is at 526,000 and she is more global than she was in TD era. Also during PRISM era she put her name on 3 fragrances , done 2 duets ( one with john mayer and other with Ferras ) become UNICEF ambassador , sang at the white house , made 2 MV over 500 views .what is YO bucket list looking like bruh? Overall Prism era is more succesful than TD , but if we look just at single preformance than yes TD is better.

i guess she's becoming a brand and now she is more focused like others big names in industry like beyonce on other things than just on singles

It's unrealistic to expect another TD era. Plus, the singles this time around are pretty weak. Uncle? Bday? TIHWD? Meh.

Anyway, Unconditionally and TIHWD are better songs than anything released from TD. I'm fine with them not doing as great.

What happened in the TD era was something "special". The PRISM era is something normal, she's getting the biggest hits of her career (Roar and Dark Horse), underperformances like Unconditionally, mediocre hits (or flop ) like Birthday. You can't expect her to smash with every single. It's impossible.

Even Unconditionally wasn't worth single-treatment.
And I think Roar (which was an alright song, and worth being a lead single) was as big as it was because of the TD era before it (similar to Gaga coming off TFM era with the oddly successful single BTW).
Dark Horse has been the only other single from Prism that should be a single, but it should have come sooner. Oh well, it's still doin great.
