What do you think was the best Studio Ghilibi film and why?

My Opinion is Spirited Away as it is a classic love story without being overly romantic about growing up and being independent.

Spirited Away, because it is perfect.

Spirited Away or Nausicaa.

Laputa: Castle in the Sky

Howl's Moving Castle

Spirited away is my favorite, closely followed by princess mononoke, grave of the fireflies, howl's moving castle, kiki's delivery service, my neighbor totoro, and whisper of the heart.

Spirited Away is one of the most creative and emotional movies ever imo. It has everything necessary for a great animated movie.

Grave of Fireflies wins though for biggest tearjerker

I don't think there will ever be another film that'll make me as depressed as grave of the fireflies

Grave of the Fireflies...

I had to pause it several times towards the end because I was so overcome with feels. If you ever want a really good cry, watch that movie...

But their entire catalogue is absolutely amazing.

Grave of the Fireflies is really powerful emotionally. That movie had me down for like a week. I haven't watched it since, I'm not emotionally prepared yet

I do NOT want to say Grave of the Fireflies, because it's gonna make me cry like a damn baby…

Princess Mononoke is my favorite. I adore that movie.

I love all they're movies though.
