for me, no. i'm so ovvvver this director's extremely cutesy, quirky aesthetic. and at risk of sounding like a snob, at the end of the movie, i just felt like asking "so what?" I didn't care about any of the characters.
Hmm maybe, although it kind of lost its initial farcical magic towards the second half of the film, and I wasn't a HUGE fan of the ending.
Personally I preferred X-Men and Guardians of the Galaxy, but from an objective point of view, The Grand Budapest Hotel probably is the best film of the year so far.

I was a Wes virgin before I saw it, so you can imagine how dazzled I was. I heard he is directing an Oliver Twist movie next which will be perfect... can't wait.
