College is definitely overrated. Unfortunately unlike with most companies, competition between colleges drives tuition up instead of down (so they seem more prestigious).
In relation to a highschool degree? Not really.
Edit: Also , they are overrated if you don't put in the effort as a paying student and decide to just coast through classes with the sole intention of just passing.
