It's not so much to do with race as color, but I have a close friend who is black, and told me she wishes that she was lighter skinned sometimes, or had less typically black(presumably west african) features. The worst part is she's actually a bad bitch
Me personally, no. Sure there are some downsides (such as negative perceptions / feeling out of place at times), but overall I love being mixed Puerto Rican/Black/Native American, very exotic and elusive >>>>

We are decedents of Kings and Queens so there's really nothing to hate about being black, unless you're foolish enough to believe what white said is your history is actually your history.
I think a lot of self hate comes from people wanting different races to be attracted them, which I think is kinda sad and pathetic
I don't think that's even the biggest part of it. A lot of it stems from wanting to be accepted in society and not treated differently for being black also white skin is seen as better for many reasons.

I do remember one time when I was younger I was watching tv with my mum and a shampoo advert came on and I asked her if I used the shampoo my hair would be like the white lady's on the ad? She obviously said no lol
