Nicki stated that this was the last single before the album, & to be quite honest this is NOT the type of single to sell an album.
Unless she drops another freestyle that brings in the most buzz, I don't see the hype for her album growing any more than it already is.
I'm concerned for the album, **** these singles. I don't care about them anymore, since neither does she. If the singles aren't great, then people aint buying the album. This is not her debut, where she had tons of hype surrounding her name, this is a crucial era that's coming out of a very damaging era.
This era could make or break her, so I'm worried about the flow & consistency of the album. PNP & Anaconda sounds like they're from two different artists/albums. So yeah, I'm worried the album won't flow at all.

I was being sarcastic. She'll definitely open better than that, and I HIGHLY doubt this is the last single before the album considering we don't even have a release date yet. The best thing I can tell you to do is sit back and trust her judgement...or don't. lol. But, I for one feel like this isn't a bad decision. It's summer time people want to shake their ass and she gave the masses something they can do it to. Nothing more nothing less.

When asked by a fan on Twitter if she's going to release another single before the album (that was before Anaconda), she said yes, but I think 3 singles before the album are too much. But now that Anaconda dropped and if the album is coming on November, she might as well release another single for two reasons: 1) cause Anaconda is bad (duh), and 2) Anaconda will most likely peak by October so she will have 2 months with no hot song before the album drops.

Yeah, i guess the people that like fluff/flash no substance will be brought in with this song...what will happen to those that saw PNP as a progression and growth and maturity.
To the GP it can easily appear as though the mature side didn't work so now she's gonna regress back to nonsensical music like Anaconda for shock n awe factor and not focus on being a respected lyricist.
At this point, as long as those that like ratchet fluff make this single gold/platinum and top 40 then I'm good.
It''ll be interesting to see how those that warmed up to her and embraced her with PNP are gonna go
People will buy a single from Nicki minaj before they buy an album...

I agree...it feels as though PNP didn't make the impact that she expected so she figured eff it i'm not gonna be respected and people (GP) aren't going to embrace Onika...they just want to see the character...so she's just gonna have fun with Anaconda and forget about TPP being a classic album
