i think it's her image more than anything, but there's no denying she's a great vocalist so she's a very easy answer to the question 'who is your favourite singer' even if you can't name 10 of her songs, because no one will reply 'wtf why do you like her she can't sing!!!111!'. her music is certainly not above her peers, but her image and vocal talent may be.

Why are you comparing Bey and Ri in terms of touring? You know she $230M is much much bigger than $147M, or however much she did.

And the fact that even without any hit singles Beyoncé is still managing to be the most succesful album of her time.

Maybe you should just spend a little time reading up on Forbes and Times, maybe they can do a better job at stating why she's number 1. Or ask the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame why she's already practically inducted even though she's too youg atm.

Her live performances are great, but I think they are a little repetitive and I could name a few people who put on a better show than her.

Her talent, star power, grace, elegance, class, sexiness and GLOBALNESS makes her the goddess she is. The GP has spoken! The other girls can't compare.

Well I'm not sure that statistics alone make you a "goddess". Beyonce has everything and is better at it than most popstars.

She makes music on her own terms and is her own woman and people respect that. She is highly regarded because she's been doing her thing since she was 16 and has been deeply ingrained in pop culture.

If someone has a better selling album or a #1, it doesn't change who Beyonce is for people. The fact that you cite all these shortcomings and yet she is still on this pedestal just proves how important she is and how little they matter for her.

As of now she's the biggest touring female of her generation. And she's consistently been a solid album seller with or without smash hits.

I'm honestly tired you people thinking that singles are the be all end all of a person's career because every "legend" be it Michael, Madonna, Mariah, Janet, Whitney or Prince reached a point in their career where the hits dried up... and then what? If you have to keep reminding people how many Swedish #1s you have, or how many followers you used to have on Facebook, what exactly is the point of your career? The majority of Beyonce's current peers' careers are solely dependent on securing hits and without them, they are dead. We've seen what Beyonce can accomplish without hits. At a certain point your in your career, your impact and talent should speak for itself and that is why Beyonce is placed above her peers.
