Sadly, Disney Won't Listen
This is from Comingsoon.net, talking about the box office weekend.
"... The third installment of the popular Disney franchise has earned $61.8 million in its first 10 days. Additionally, overseas the film added $26 million from 26 markets, pushing its foreign total to $85 million and worldwide total to $146.8 million. Disney says there is a "very likely" chance there will be another sequel, but the format and cast have not been decided yet. "High School Musical 3" was made for only $11 million.
****! Disney will never learn.

it just makes me sick to my stomach that HSM3 beat out Saw 5 at the box office 
& Disney is willing to make another one? enough is enough, I don't think that Ashley,Zac,Vanessa & Corbin want to keep doing this ****, they want to move on & do other things

 uhm, are you serious, the SAW franchise has been dying since SAW II, and HSM has a WAY bigger fan base and audience than SAW, so it was obvious it was going to beat SAW, silly lol

Saw3 is way better than HSM1

Actually, Saw has a HUGE fanbase, but sadly, most of them went to go see HSM3 b/c they had to watch their children...

No surprise. Disney is going to keep milking this and they can't understand that there comes a time when it has to end. In fact, I would not be surprised if after a 4th one, they make a 5th, a 6th, and so on. All they care about is money, not the quality of the work.

true true, but to be honest, I was expecting HSM3 to pass the 100 mill mark, but I think it will stop in the 80 mil range.

it's obvious that they are making money, and wants more ..the cast will be renewed ..HSM3 is a crack anyway, Ashley Tisdale is the only good actress

I wish I was cast in HSM  I would just stay with the franchise until death if they wanted. It's all about the money

The main cast won't be in the 4th one so it most likely won't do well. Vanessa Hudgens said herself HSM3 is her last project with Disney.

LOL Saw may have a huge fanbase, but it is mostly teenage girls so I don't know what you mean by that statement.
Anyways, I didn't see either movie, but there was no doubt that HSM was going to beat Saw IMO.
