Beyoncé survived the media shitstorm that was the DC split up and her pregnancy rumors, I don't think that (godforbid) a divorce would have too much of a physical effect on her

If she released a critically panned album that sold much less than her average, if she went through a messy divorce and being on the public eye all the time while getting criticized, of course it could happen.

Nobody's perfect or made of steel, if she broke down like X did after so many years in the music biz, she would fall flat all over the place.

Christina and Britney suffered a lot. Beyoncé's not perfect.

Xtina didn't gain "a lot" of weight exactly. She's 5'2" so it just looked like more than it was. (Being 5'4", I know what that's like). Beyoncé is 5'7" with completely different proportions. If she gained weight she'd probably just get curvier.
