"The Big Mac is almost twice as expensive in Norway as in the USA"
Norway has the world's most expensive Big Mac,
while Ukraina has the cheapest one.
The Economists Big Mac-index has compared the purchasing power (?) in 45 countries.
A Norwegian Big Mac
should have costed around $4,79 (30 NOK) compared to the American one, if they price would be the same in every country. Well, it doesn't.
The average price is $7,66 (48 NOK), but during the summer it can fast cost
above $8 (50 NOK).
That's 68% more than in the US.
The most expensive ones are; Norway, Switzerland, Venezuela, Sweden, Brazil, Canada, Denmark.
The cheapest ones are from India and Ukraina, where it
costs around $1,60 (10 NOK)

The more you know
(They say it's caused because of higher cost in general in Norway, so it's not a shock really.
I was shocked when I found out you can get a McChicken for just $1 in the US though)
