Literally always but as of late if I see that the other person gives no effort in return I just say **** em. They complain we don't talk yet I always try to start a conversation Some people are really socially handicapped.

I hate texting so I never text first and I'm famous for not replying. it's just such work. And THE PRESSURE. To seem interesting or even interested in what the conversation is about. I'm a phone call person myself.
