Exactly. To be honest I think people use the term now to describe someone who doesn't exactly conform to the norm, and who makes them feel somehow inferior in doing so. It's generally a petty and bitter remark to call someone a hipster and I think it reveals more about the people who say it than those accused of being it.

Although I don't feel like I am, people have described me as hipster in a positive way.
