Last week, it was revealed by the CEO of Catalyst Fall Records that starlet Ariana Grande shall be signed under the revered record label. She joins the 'voice of our generation', which we feel as though will be extremely fitting. There are also many rumours floating around on the net that Grande and Aguilera are recording together in the studio for a collaboration of sorts. Ari has been welcomed with arms by both Christina and Catalyst Fall Records. Many people are responding great to these string of official statements made by the record label, with many saying that this is possibly the greatest decision that Ariana's made during her career - thus far. That will sure burn its way through the charts if that duet ever came to fruition! The talented pair went on social media [Twitter] to exchange sweet-nothings to each other. We're sure that Ariana is in great hands.

Ever since all that contract deal news came to life, many people were expecting something from Ari pretty soon. Having said that, we didn't expect it so soon! Ariana dropped her lead single - "Tinsel Town" - just a few hours ago. The single cover art depicts Grande in a quite angular position, preening her hair in an admiring manner. The song itself is about the hardships of Hollywood culture, in general, and how fixated society has become with these 'ideal standards'. It's definitely a more mature and risky topic for Ariana to address since she's just started breaking out of her mould. However, we expect great things from this track as it's penned as the greatest 2014 has to offer. The jazzy track is produced by Urban beatmakers DJ Premier and Harmony Samuels whilst female power team consisting of Kate Bush, Imogen Heap, and Ariana Grande herself are the sole writers of this social commentary smash hit.

There's word on the street that Ariana shall debut "Tinsel Town" at tonight's VMAs, which is a great promo spot methinks. This will be one of few major televised performances for Grande and we cannot way to see what she has the potential of providing this era, especially under new management. Ari is making her mark on the industry as a newcomer. It won't be long until she's got the entire general public wrapped around her lil Lolita finger. Be sure to stay tuned tonight as this Nickelodeon starlet sets the VMAs stage alight with talented fire.

I decided not to have Marina or Fifth Harmony or Becky G perform at the VMAs. Marina would've just stood center stage while an orchestra played Happy Meal, Fifth Harmony's performance was too much for an award show, and Becky's was very controversial (it involved her and Austin Mahone having sex on stage with Austin dressed as a ninja turtle)

How long will the VMAs last? Because I have to go pick up my class schedule in 2 hours.
