Today the 4th Circuit ruled that bans are unconstitutional and Virginia who brought the case had accepted the ruling and now North Carolina has declined to defend its ban, they were the last in the country to adopt a constitutional ban.
The ruling will become law in the two states in 21 days.
That means the number of states with marriage will be 21! Over half the population now lives where its legal!
South Carolina will stop being blue as soon as it files its appeal. Their Attorney General has vowed to fight it while West Virginia is taking the Britney approach (We'll have to wait and see).
but they asked the judge to skip the trial so any day now a decision will come
