When do you think next gen consoles will deliver good games?
I don't mean to offend any titles, I do think Watch Dogs was good and a great concept that can be expanded on. But when do you think the next gen consoles will deliever real masterpieces like The Last of Us or Red Dead Redemption? Do you think they'll be topped? They've set the bar pretty high and I worry that nothing will top such magnificent games. Also what would you like to see, what types of games? Suggestions. I personally would love to see Rockstar make a sequel to the ps2 game Bully
No idea, I sold my Xbox 360 & got an Xbox One and I'm so bored of it already, I'm waiting on the Halo-Remaster & GTA V to come out. I was thinking of buying a PS4 as well but honestly the games don't appeal to me (at the moment) so I don't even think it would have made a difference if I got a PS4 instead of an Xbox One in the first place
Hopefully they start coming out around March 2015 at the earliest, not sure though!
I remember falling in love with the ps2 because of the vast array of titles, but its all become such a money hungry business that every game is a clone of the other.
I miss the days when random horror games made it out on the ps2, all the fatal frames and silent hills are games i literally still play. Last generation was lacking so much, and I feel like it'll be the same this time around
There's nothing to worry about... there's always a drought of new games when consoles are released. The PS4 and Xbone haven't even been out for a year. Developers are still trying to grasp the potential that the consoles give them. The first major, highly acclaimed games will probably be Destiny and Uncharted.
And the last gen will definitely be topped. TLOU maybe not (although we get it for PS4 now anyway), but the power that the new consoles have will give us incredible envelope pushing graphics and I'm sure developers are working on improving writing too after the massive success and acclaim of TLOU.
First, devs need to leave last gen behind Rise of the Tomb Raider will be on PS3 and 360.
I hope that just means the last gen versions will get the gimped version and the PS4/XBONE version will be truly next gen.
Namco is making Tekken 7 which will be next gen only and Final Fantasy XV by Square.
That is rumored to drop next year.

The way that it works with games like Rise of the Tomb Raider that are released on PC is that they put all of the effort into the PC version (since they're a lot more powerful than consoles) and then optimize it for each console. The PS4 and Xbone will likely get better optimization since it's the new generation, and the PS3 and 360 versions will probably look only slightly better than the original game.
It's honestly beginning right now. Between now and then end of the year, I'll have TLOU:R, Destiny, Diablo III (PS4), Evolve, and probably GTA V. That's more than enough to keep me occupied. Next year is gonna be amazing.
