Its not like the man was uninjured he had a f***ing broken collar bone from being horrifically assaulted upon his entry into the home and in the struggle he grabbed his gun in self defense. This woman's cowardly boyfriend ran while she tripped and he shot her. If you or anybody else was in this situation instead of reading it online there would be a significantly different thought process. And he didn't shoot her point blank assassination style he just shot her and only 30% percent of gunshot wounds are even fatal. I am sad a woman had to die because of this but the old man cannot be called a murderer and evil when he was just defending himself and his property.

This is not a matter over belongings. It's a matter over someone coming onto YOUR property, the privacy of your personal space and acting as if they have the authority to be there. This is about safety and rights. No one should be able to come onto your property without your permission. That man could have been murdered by those ignorant heathens. Everyone is focusing on the material. She didn't only rob his material possession, they robbed his safety and sense of security. It's hard to live a life after something very traumatic like this happening to you.

That being said, he shouldn't have killed her. Use a rubber bullet (which, at least point in society, should replace actual bullets) and stun her long enough to call the police and have her hauled to jail or restrain her until the police show up.

Her being pregnant isn't an excuse. If this was a valid excuse, you would see more female criminals being pregnant to use the fetus as a scapegoat. She did a crime, she will be punished. The level of punishment is up to the justice system to decide, not on the elderly man. He crossed a line, sure, but she knew there would be risks (who knows how big in any situation).

Edit: I love how her boyfriend (and I assume the "baby daddy") just left her behind. That's some foreshadowing to what he would have possibly done later on if she was pregnant and gave birth.

I can't believe all of you people defending this piece of trash woman. Did you watch the video of the older man talking about what happened? He seemed like any other 80 year old man - fragile, friendly, and wouldn't hurt a fly. Do you people even have grandfathers?? My grandpa is 100 years old and if he was in this situation I would support him 100%. In fact, I would want to shoot those vile burglars myself if they did something like that to him which resulted in injury.

Do I think killing people is right? Absolutely not. But given the circumstances, what he did was completely understandable and he shouldn't be punished.
