But since I'm confident here; my source is Dr Luke tweeting that Pitbull had recorded a verse for Dark Horse, followed up a few days later by him denying that it existed despite the fact that it leaked a month later and was clearly a professionally done Remix of the track. Your turn.
That's like accusing me of murdering someone then telling me to find proof it didn't happen. THEN saying that I am accusing you of being wrong.
The LOGIC.
Edit: You know "sources" require links. Aren't you in college? I expect better.
You all really need to stop Provided that this song does modestly well, there will most likely still be at least 1 more single. It's obvious that Katy wanted to release This Is How We Do as a single, despite her fans' hatred for it but us fans have proven that we should not be choosing her singles. The majority of her fans wanted Birthday to be a single and we all saw how that turned out. Katy and Capitol know what they're doing. If they thought TIHWD would flop they wouldn't have released it so they clearly have some type of plan. But don't start calling it a flop before its even been sent to radio or gotten any type of promotion other than a lyric video.

6K a week in the US isn't bad in this sales climate. That's as much as Artpop and Beyoncé are doing every week worldwide. PRISM is doing well.
Either this song will slay and all the hating fans will suddenly jump on bored and say they now love the song, or it will flop and all the fans that hate on it will be like I told you so!
I would love for the first option to happen because I would love to clock half of my fellow katycats on ATRL

We both know that there was no point in me looking them up as you and I have the exactsamesource but with different interpretations. I only asked you for the off-chance that you actually had an interview about it and I was curious to watch or read, but this obviously means you don't.
Now stop dragging me off topic and discuss the single at hand.

This song would've been a thousand times better if they had gotten a rapper or another singer to replace the awful middle 8, I cringe way too much when I listen to it for me to enjoy the song.
I feel like this is my cue to enter the scene, like someone just chanted an ancient deadly ritual and summoned me from the depths of hell.
For starters, what the hell is this "Support a song you dislike purely because you like the artist!!" logic that's starting to float around in this thread? Why would I waste time supporting a song I dislike when the only outcome I get from being successful is encouraging her to release more songs like the one I hate? That's basically a punishment for supporting Katy rather than a reward.
Also, y'all need to stop attacking Walking on Air (Which won it's first battle with Dark Horse, thank you very much) when the vast majority of people who dislike this song would rather Legendary Lovers was the single.
Katy is losing fan support over this single, the lyric video is struggling on YouTube, the song plummeted on iTunes and Radio does not like the track, the only logical move for Katy right now is to can the single release and pretend it was like the time she released a lyric video for Dressin' Up. There's nothing to be gained by pushing this single. Sure, it may still smash, but is the risk at this point really worth the return?
There's no point in supporting a song by an artist you like if you don't like the song, I agree. But you're wasting your time spreading needless negativity through paragraph after paragraph on an internet forum. Alright, we get it, you don't like the song. You don't need to restate that in a bunch of essays. You've already gotten your point across. Saying how much you dislike it isn't going to make Katy cancel it.
Secondly, I legitimately DO NOT understand what you mean by that Walking on Air comment. Aside from the fact that one moment you say that you shouldn't be told not to hate on This Is How We Do because you don't like it and then in the SAME POST you tell others to not hate on Walking On Air because they don't like it (what kind of hypocrisy?), Walking on Air LOST to Dark Horse. Dark Horse was chosen as the first promo single by fans and the GP, Dark Horse debuted higher than Walking on Air on the charts, Dark Horse had more longevity, and Dark Horse was chosen as an official single. In what world did Walking on Air win here?
The lyric video is doing fine. GP reaction to a single that hasn't even had any spins on radio and its only promo is a lyric video that was just uploaded to VEVO and YouTube is good... it's already crossed two million views in three days. That's pretty good. Also, it has a 91% approval rating according to its likes vs its dislikes. Fans are saying one thing (Walking on Air) and GP is saying another. Looks like the GP prevails again. Or should we take a quick look at fan-favourites "Criminal" by Britney Spears, "Tonight I'm Getting Over You" by Carly Rae Jepsen and "G.U.Y." by Lady Gaga's peak positions for an idea of how fan faves usually perform?

Rodrighost brought up Walking on Air vs. Dark Horse, not me. I also said Battle, not War.
Oop, looks like some posts might need deleting since I just picked apart all of the lies in yours.

I hope the General Public continue to support her when her pop career ends and she retreats back to being an acoustic performer.
And you're the one who accused me of being wrong.

Don't be such an over-dramatic drama queen. Of course she cares about her fans. But she's not going to cancel a single just because a couple of pressed stans act all spoiled and tweet they don't like the song and expect something to be done about it. That's not how the music industry works. Artists should NOT take career advice from fans. It's been done before, and it never works out.
There's every chance the GP may support her when she releases an acoustic record. She's changed her sound once before, she can do it again. As long as the music is good, Katy will be fine.
You are wrong about the Dark Horse remix. Pitbull does these kinds of things for fun. He's Mr. Worldwide, of course he's going to be able to hit up a studio and lay done a verse on a whim. All he'd need is the track and just take off Juicy J's verse and replace it with his own and there, a professional-sounding mix. Pitbull and Dr. Luke work together a lot. Nothing odd there. It was NEVER meant to be an official remix.
He did the same thing with Kesha on Crazy Kids. Only the will.i.am and Juicy J remixes were official singles.

This is what Sam and I were saying. I have a post bookmarked that said I clearly liked it before the bandwagon, so I'm prepared.
