‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Fails to Outdo ‘Batman v. Superman
Comic-Con: ‘Batman v. Superman’ Beats ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ with Online Chatter
Quote:
DC bested Marvel at Comic-Con with its film presentation Saturday — at least when it came to early online buzz.
The first look at Warner Bros. and DC’s “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” edged out Marvel’s “The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” generating 112,108 overall mentions and 8,356 intent-to-view mentions, or 7%, according to research group Way to Blue.
“Age of Ultron” received 62,542 overall mentions, but a higher intent-to-see response, with 8,483, or 14%.
What helped WB and DC was the surprise appearance of Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, who play Batman and Superman, respectively, along with the first look at Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in the film.
When it comes to studio buzz, Warner Bros. again dominated Saturday at Comic-Con with 45% of the conversation. But the company was also aided not only by its bigscreen superheroes but also its shows on TV presenting in San Diego on Saturday, including “Arrow” and “The Vampire Diaries.”
But Disney was close behind with 23%, as Marvel brought the “Age of Ultron” and “Ant-Man” casts to Comic-Con, and announced “Guardians of the Galaxy 2,” with James Gunn again writing and directing. Its Saturday panel generated 97,887 mentions.
Legendary Entertainment also scored on Saturday — typically one of Hollywood’s biggest days at Comic-Con given the number of people attending over the weekend.
Legendary chief Thomas Tull announced plans to produce both a “Godzilla” sequel and “Skull Island,” based on King Kong’s home.
“Godzilla 2″ received 19,073 overall mentions and 1,274 (7%) intent-to-view mentions, “Skull Island” generated 7,850 overall mentions and 544 (7%) intent-to-view mentions.
Fox’s “The Maze Runner,” starring Dylan O’Brien of MTV’s “Teen Wolf,” was the most discussed film on Friday, with 21,159 mentions.
For TV shows, ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” and “The Vampire Diaries” dominating online discussions, Saturday.
“Once Upon a Time” generated 46,510 overall mentions and 3,245 (7%) intent-to-view mentions, while “The Vampire Diaries” received 39,402 overall mentions and 3,116 (8%) intent-to-view mentions. “The Walking Dead” played well with fans on Friday, besting HBO’s “Game of Thrones.”

Avengers is something we have seen before very recently. SvsB is something incredibly new in this era for live action movies, so of course more chatter will be seen.
Anyway, we all know the Avengers will outdo them in terms of quality and the box office.

But more people say they want to see the new Avengers and it could very well double BvS's WW total so who cares?

Mhmm, that is cute. But where it counts is at the box office. Lets see them outdo them there.

DC had more things to release + their teaser footage actually leaked so no wonder they had more buzz. Marvel was a disappointing mess this year.

You marvel fan boys are going to be in for a shock once BvS comes out ON THE SAME DAY OF CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 they pushed it back to go head to head,,and add the fact Wonder Woman is actually smoking hot and they also have the guy from GoT in there. But go on and continue fapping to Avengers. I go for the superior stuff.

Your argument made sense... until the last sentence
I think both films are going to slay every aspect of film.

That teaser was nothing special, neither Marvel or DC did anything to get anyone hyped so they both lose IMO

Also, can we stop with the Marvel vs DC fan wars. Neither are superior to each other.

How can you make that assessment when BvS is a brand new franchise? I mean if DC Comics had a resume of movies that were quality, I would say your statement was true, but they don't sans Nolan's Batman which tops anything any comic book movie can do. But Snyder is doing the BvS movie and he kind of flopped with MoS. So with these facts, can we really trust that BvS will be any good? Can we?
