Universal reports that Lucy earned a strong $17.1 million on Friday. The film could net around $46 million for the weekend.
Making Lucy's debut even more impressive is the fact that its opening day handily topped that of 2010's Salt, starring Angelina Jolie, which took in $12.5 million on its way to a $36 million opening frame. There's no doubt that Scarlett Johansson's rising star power helped drive Lucy's success.
Saw it last night, the plot was laughable (we don't only use 10% of our brains People who still believe that ...) But if you suspend belief it's entertaining.
I am interested in this but only mildly. I feel like I'm over this cliche idea and it's even more ridiculous in this movie. So what, she suddenly learns chinese cause she unlocked a part of her brain? That doesn't even make sense to me. Seems lazy
Well scientifically speaking, thats not so far fetched. Theres actually a medical condition where people speak foreign languages they were never accustomed to.
It was alright. It had such a good lead up and everything was going good then it just took a nose dive and ended up being kind of bad towards the end. It left more to be desired and felt very rushed overall.
