Christina fans wrong again.
Briitney's 4/5 albums have been generally positive. Her debut got terrible reviews though.
Christina's worst reviewed album is Stripped. And that's smart, cause it's true.

All Music Guide called it "as a sound of an artist who's given too much freedom too early and has no idea what to do with it" and describes it as a mixture between the sexiness of Britney Spears and the "dance-rock confessionals" of Pink. The writer says "she seems desperate to not just catch-up with these two, but surpass them in the sex and confessions".
|
And her debut got mixed reviews. Only Back To Basics got her best reviews, and it is her best CD. Again the first CD and exceptions on the first CD.
So the one who said Christina is more critically successful, think again. When Britney broke off and got "personal" on Britney it got praised. Christina tried to get deep and lyrical and FAILED.
So that's commercially, critically, generally, publicly, and worldwide successful. Britney.
But now, deal with it and leave Britney out of it. Britney has nothing to do with this, just deal with the fact that the video is not good.

Funny, I could've sworn that "Keeps Gettin' Better" is a thoroughly mediocre single and B2B, an album of filler. Especially when compared to "Womanizer" and ITZ/Blackout.
You enjoy your floppage. I will sit here, content with my "average" music.

Not a fan of the video, but I still like the song so I'm good.
And Catwoman aside, I think she looks great in the video so there's still that.
But why the hell is Britney yet again being mentioned? Some people (Britney AND Christina fans) need to get the **** over it. They have both had their ups and downs, and this video is a down for Christina. The same was 2007 was a big down for Britney. It's time we learn to move on and stop comparing the two because it is pointless.
I'm willing to look past this video though since it is off a Greatest Hits. I'm excited for her REAL new music/album in 2009! Bring it on, X-Tina!

MTV: Christina Aguilera acquires Sci-Fi edge in Keeps Gettin' Better video

Christina Aguilera's geektastic video for "Keeps Gettin' Better" debuted on iLike on Monday, and somewhere out there, fanboys are tripping over their external hard-drive cables to get screen grabs and create their own mashups of it.
The clip was lensed by filmmaker Peter Berg ("Hancock," "The Kingdom"), and its "Minority Report"-meets-James-Bond-on-the-"Speed Racer"-highway-to-Anime-City vibe is sure to excite sci-fi geeks as much as Christina fans. In the first-of-its-kind exclusive for iLike, the clip from the singer's upcoming greatest-hits album, Keeps Gettin' Better — A Decade of Hits, has her traveling "through time and fashion in an homage to her 10-year career," according to a statement from her label.
In the video, a blond, hoodie-wearing Aguilera sits behind a giant, retro-looking mixing desk with lots of pretty blinking lights and takes us on a quick-edit stroll through her many personas. She's a 1960s fuzzy-vest-wearing hippie filmmaker, a blue-haired "Speed Racer" wannabe and a masked, catsuit-wearing superhero with spark-throwing fingertips and a badass motorcycle. All the while, a cute Japanese robot dances along on the edge of her console as Aguilera controls the action by waving her fingers at the big screens in front of her.
"I really enjoyed making the video for 'Keeps Gettin' Better,' " Aguilera said in the release. "Being an artist who likes to play around with different looks, it was a lot of fun to portray various characters within the same shoot."
Keeps Gettin' Better is due out on November 11 and will be available only at Target.

See, I really like Christina!
But this is not Christina Aguilera!
I guess this is the time where we all should say: I MISS THE OLD CHRISTINA
And: Go Britney, Go Britney, Go Britney

Thing is, because a Britney fan mentions that the video is a down, Christina fans get on the defensive and start attacking Britney. That's how she is mentioned or brought up. Instead of accepting the fact that she did not do good with this cheap ass video, they have to bring up the same ol' same ol'. I can almost 99.99% guarantee if Britney released this ****, they'd be all over it attacking her. They're usual hypocritical ways, just like Britney posing nude pregnant being nasty, but Christina does it and it's OMG a legend and many other examples.

Thank God they didn't praise it. I do however see some geeks improving it, so I hope for Youtube edits.

Quit acting like briteney fans are not hypocritical as well. both sides have their moment it a two way street dear
That said i think it funny how you ignore all the comments you fella fans have made in this thread that where not provoked by a Britney comment. A lot of your fans come in here and constantly bash Christina so of course they are going to defend her

I agree (though I think it goes both ways). I myself like Christina more, but right now I like Britney's Womanizer song and video better than KGB (well actually the songs is a toss up, but obv. the video for womanizer is better). I just always find it so silly. Not to mention, I feel like I am continuously hearing the same stats for each artist being brought up because their fans are trying to prove something haha (I have also done it, though. )
I'm just hoping that she is not putting much effort because she wants to really surprise and blow people away for when her real album comes out. I'm still pretty excited about this new direction she is going in, so I'm just in anticipation.

I didn't say that. But Christina fans do it more, considering Britney does most things first and then she somehow ends up doing the same. Ya'll do it a lot more.
But starringo is right. I've given up on her for now because this song is bad and the video is. If she comes back with the new CD with a different look // better "future pop" sound I'll respectably come back as a fan. But I'm not supporting this Hits album. Many other people have put effort in their hits, why can't she either.
