True true but I feel why so many of my family members stress that myself, siblings and cousins aren't AA. Is because they don't want us to be affiliated with that term. which is sad tbh

Going to a school in Downtown Atlanta... it's like 50/50. My high school was 50/50 too. I went to an HBCU my freshman year and I didn't like it.

My HS was maybe 20% Black and all the white kids kept complaining about it being a "Black school".

Tinashe and Thandie literally mean something in a language but it always associate when people try to categorize those names with Hydroquisha or Háshtág or something. People constantly make the HUGEST deal out of my last name and sometimes I wish my african middle name was my first name just so I'd have twice the reason to punch these bitches out.

White is associated with purity, light, and innocence. The color black usually has a negative connotation such as death and evil. If you had to choose, which would you rather be associated with?

I dropped the term "African American" in college, when my very African room mate told me there wasn't anything African about me. The truth is, most of us haven't been African in over 200 years.

On that note, I love the term Black American. Just like Black British. Yes, I'm American, but I am also very proud to belong to the Black American subculture and ethnic group.
