Good point.
I dropped the term "African American" in college, when my very African room mate told me there wasn't anything African about me. The truth is, most of us haven't been African in over 200 years.
On that note, I love the term Black American. Just like Black British. Yes, I'm American, but I am also very proud to belong to the Black American subculture and ethnic group.
