No where did I say they shouldn't plan a sequel, every big movie has a sequel planned prior to release, it's just announcing it before they see how the original performs that bugs me. Comes across as arrogant and bigheaded. "Yeah, obviously this movie is gonna be massive, duh, there's no way it can underperform." - Don't count your chickens before they hatch.
It's a cheap business tactic used to trick people into the cinema by making them feel like they're going to miss out on an entire franchise if they miss out on the original. I dont appreciate being treated like a sheep. Completely incomparable to someone setting up a business.
