She is a pop girl and she has never flopped yet. Actually, everytime she releases an album, it becomes a huge success and ends up with like 6 million copies.
She is the only girl that can open with 1 million copies in the US (Adele might be able to but it's not my point since Adele's success is different).

How come do you think is Taylor that popular?

But why tho? How come the other girls are that far away fanbase/popularity wise?

She hasn't ruined her image. She comes off as genuinely nice/humble and apart from dating rumors she's really private on what goes on in her life and doesn't use social media much. Which is why she has many celeb friends too.

It's very easy to relate to her, and she writes great music and has a likable voice.

She's not a 'bad' girl; never scandals, she's known for making her own music etc. Her music is always radiofriendly. She doesn't get out of her clothes so people like that she's just the music and nothing more.

Her music is of good quality and even if you're not crazy about it, it's still tolerable and inoffensive. It's good to have on in the background or whatever and it's not polarising or raunchy.

She's safe, relatable, and most importantly she's got that country audience on lock. Plus there's lots of girls that grew up with her and that inspires loyalty too.

Because Taylor treats her fans like friends, there is a such huge connection, she isn't distant like some of her colegues.

Quality music with relatable lyrics, and a strong country/pop fanbase.

A very good question. I think it's because her persona is so generic yet acutely identifiable. She's the perennial average teenage/young adult white girl (a hugely marketable demographic in the US) and she more than anyone puts the experiences associated with that to paper. She gets by on sheer relatability, not quality or talent.

Her music is very relatable. She writes about your typical break up/not caring/jealousy situations.

She's the all American girl.

There are other girls who were doing +6 million an album for years.

She's just a niche holder and it works well for her.
