I always cringe at defiantly.

Defiantly means refusing to obey

Upon reading "DEFINITATELY" I immediately thought of Unconditionally.

'Defiantly' is easily the worst. It's a completely different word. Like, come on.

THIS! Spelling would be so easy if one tried to understand why a word is spelt that way

I used to use Defiantly I filled out an application for a tv show and used defiantly about hundred times throughout the form, it wasn't until mum read it after I had submitted it I realised my mistake. I still got picked, they were probably casting the ditzy blonde

I was eliminated from the spelling bee in the 4th grade because of this word and now it's one word I NEVER screw up anymore.

"defiantly" as a misspelling is probably one of my biggest pet peeves ever!

That is like the only word I can never spell right.

"Defiantly" infuriates me. Like, they're clearly two different words. I don't know how anyone can pronounce the word "definitely" out loud and then spell it out as "defiantly".
