My sister lives in south Florida and I'm here now on vacation. I'm moving down here next year. Is there a prominent lgbt scene down here? Is it easy to meet other gay people? Are there lots of gay clubs? I'll be moving from rural mountain country where gay people are basically invisible down to this exciting and diverse metro. I'm excited

I live in Bradenton (a little beachside town below Tampa and above Sarasota). It's pretty quiet and conservative so there's not much of a gay scene. I'm moving near Miami for college next year. Miami is great. It's a very over-the-top and they're pretty gay friendly and liberal.

I live in Miramar, which is a little bit outside Miami. There are plenty of gays down here the PRIDE event this year was absolutely huge too!

If you're in broward, the LGBT district is in Fort Lauderdale - Wilton Manors. I just moved here three weeks ago. Everyone's gay, even the straight people.

If you're near Brickell or the Downtown Miami area, Discotekka is cool club.

The Manor is the primary gay multi-level /room club in Wilton/Fort Lauderdale.

But that whole area is infested with gay clubs and bars.

I was born in LA. Miami is not Los Angeles, for sure, but I prefer Miami culture I honestly don't understand the rage over LA. Both New York and San Francisco are much better cities with so much more to offer IMO.
